Economists look to the Far East – Vietnam leads on reform
The West is doomed, the East is on the rise
Many economists are watching the Greece crisis as an example of the inevitable decline of western economies and are looking to developing economies for growth, even Iran is being talked about as a future market. Vietnam has announced that from September the rules limiting foreign ownership of companies is to be lifted. This could provide the stimulus for Vietnam to follow in the footsteps of Taiwan and South Korea.
The Philippines needs to respond and remove restrictions to foreign ownership if it is to be the next tiger economy of the Far East!
